2011 cycle event at Chandler Regional

On March 19, 2011 twenty individuals with Spina Bifida, pedaling on their own, circled the parking lot of the Chandler Regional Hospital — some for the first time ever using a cycle.

The day consisted of a great picnic lunch, a visit from the fire department, face-painting, a poster contest (complete with prizes), and a live DJ!

Apply now using the application form below if you are interested in a cycle.

If you have received a cycle in the past, bring it to the event in 2012 and meet other cyclists!

The Cycle Event is a yearly event put on by the Spina Bifida Association of Arizona in conjunction with thoughtful friends and partners. We believe that everyone in Arizona that has Spina Bifida should have an opportunity to receive a cycle free of charge. We believe that by providing the opportunity to become more mobile this will give a person a new sense of freedom while providing much needed exercise.

We are looking for people who would like to get a hand operated or otherwise customized cycle for next year. Do you have Spina Bifida and do not have a cycle of your own? No matter what age you are you could be eligible. Please fill out the application form below and send it in. The applications are first come, first serve so hurry and send one in. If you are not able to send in the application in time or have missed the deadline you may still send in the application to be first on following year's list.
